What does the school counselor do?

I am a certified and licensed educator trained in school counseling. Part of my job is to address all students’ academic, personal/social and career development needs. I am responsible for implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that focuses on student achievement, both academically and socially.

I believe that my mission as a professional school counselor is to provide a counseling program that meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of Myrtlewood’s students. I strive to ensure that this program leads to the formation of productive and responsible citizens who can function effectively and appropriately in life situations.
